Busan is known for beaches, historic sites, shopping, parks, and spas. One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Start off your visit on the 27th (Sat): pause for some photo ops at Seokguram, contemplate the long history of Bulguksa Temple, then steep yourself in history at Royal Tomb of Queen Seondeok, and finally see the interesting displays at Gyeongju National Museum. On the next day, contemplate the long history of Cheonmachong Tomb, pause for some photo ops at Daereungwon, then steep yourself in history at Gyeongju Historic Area, then contemplate the long history of Cheomseongdae Observatory, and finally explore the activities along Anapji Pond.

Traveling by car from Busan to Gyeongju takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of subway and bus; or take a train. While traveling from Busan, expect slightly colder days and somewhat warmer nights in Gyeongju, ranging from highs of 14°C to lows of 14°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 28th (Sun) to allow time to travel to Donghae.

Tourism in Sokcho mostly revolves around the local national park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Step out of Sokcho with an excursion to Naksansa Temple in Yangyang-gun--about 30 minutes away. Spend the 1st (Wed) exploring nature at Seoraksan National Park. There's still lots to do: stroll through Ulsanbawi Rock, take in the natural beauty of Cheoksan Foot Spa Park, make a trip to Abai Village, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sinheungsa Temple.

The capital of the country's northernmost province, the city of Chuncheon acts a gateway to the wilder sights of the rural region.
Kick off your visit on the 4th (Sat): head off the coast to Nami Island, take a stroll through Chuncheon Myeongdong Street, and then take a stroll through Chuncheon Myeongdong Dakgalbi Street. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: take in the spiritual surroundings of Cheongpyeongsa and then get in on the family fun at Gangchon Rail Park.
