One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Trickeye Museum Seoul and Bongeunsa Temple. Appreciate the collections at Gyeongbokgung Palace and Deoksugung. Take a break from Seoul with a short trip to Nami Island in Chuncheon, about 1h 40 min away. Spend the 10th (Thu) exploring nature at Bukhansan National Park. The adventure continues: admire the natural beauty at Changdeokgung Palace, steep yourself in history at Namsangol Hanok Village, make a trip to Insadong, and stroll around Namsan Park.

If you are flying in from Israel, the closest major airports are Gimpo International Airport, Incheon International Airport and Cheongju International Airport/Cheongju Air Base (K-59/G-513). In October, plan for daily highs up to 22°C, and evening lows to 21°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Mon) so you can drive to Andong.

Sitting along either side of the Nakdong River, Andong maintains an unrivalled reputation as a center for Korean folk and cultural heritage.
Take a break from the city and head to Ahndong Hoban Nature Forest and Juwangsan National Park. Andong Hahoe Folk Village and Dosanseowon Confucian School are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Next up on the itinerary: steep yourself in history at Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy and see the interesting displays at Traditional Culture Contents Museum.

You can drive from Seoul to Andong in 3 hours. Other options are to take a bus; or take a train. Traveling from Seoul in October, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be a bit cooler in Andong, with lows of 18°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 17th (Thu) so you can catcht the bus to Gyeongju.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Popular historic sites such as Cheonmachong Tomb and Bulguksa Temple are in your itinerary. Museum-lovers will get to explore Gyeongju National Museum and The Posco Museum. Step out of Gyeongju with an excursion to Naeyeonsan County Park in Pohang--about 56 minutes away. There's lots more to do: explore the activities along Anapji Pond, appreciate the extensive heritage of Tongiljeon, contemplate the long history of Royal Tomb of Queen Seondeok, and appreciate the history behind Seokguram.

Traveling by bus from Andong to Gyeongju takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a train. In October, daily temperatures in Gyeongju can reach 23°C, while at night they dip to 18°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 21st (Mon) early enough to go by car to Busan.

Get some historical perspective at Haedong Yonggung Temple and Geumjung Mt. fortress. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Gamcheon Culture Village and Busan Museum of Art.
