One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Get a sense of the local culture at Gyeongbokgung Palace and National Museum of Korea. Get some historical perspective at Changdeokgung Palace and Cheonggyecheon Stream. Step out of Seoul to go to Yongin and see Korean Folk Village, which is approximately 1h 20 min away. Pack the 6th (Thu) with family-friendly diversions at Lotte World. The adventure continues: admire the natural beauty at Namsan Park, take a stroll through Bukchon Hanok Village, and make a trip to Insadong.

Seattle, USA to Seoul is an approximately 15-hour flight. You can also do a combination of shuttle and flight; or do a combination of flight and train. The time zone difference moving from Pacific Standard Time to Korea Standard Time is 17 hours. A large coastal city, Gangneung has been historically separated from much of the country because of the long, stretching mountain range that runs parallel to the sea.
Start off your visit on the 7th (Fri): kick back and relax at Jeongdongjin Beach and then head outdoors with Mangsang Beac. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Woljeongsa, then get curious at Charmsori Gramophone & Edison Science Museum, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Gangmun Beach.

You can do a combination of flight and train from Jeju to Gyeongju in 3.5 hours. Other options are to do a combination of flight and bus; or do a combination of ferry and car. In June in Gyeongju, expect temperatures between 68°F during the day and 64°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Busan.
