Museum-lovers will get to explore Hallim Park and Alive Museum. Explore hidden gems such as Geomunoreum and Bonte Museum. Explore Jeju's surroundings by going to Seogwipo (Jeongbang Waterfall, Daepo Haean Jusangjeolli Cliff, & more). Edinburgh, UK to Jeju is an approximately 20.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight; or do a combination of train, bus, and flight. Traveling from Edinburgh to Jeju, you'll lose 9 hours due to the time zone difference. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 12th (Tue) to allow time to travel to Busan.

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Beomeosa Temple and Choryang Catholic Church will appeal to history buffs. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Gwangalli Beach and UN Memorial Cemetery. Getting from Jeju to Busan by flight takes about 3 hours. Other options: do a combination of ferry and car; or do a combination of ferry and bus. In March in Busan, expect temperatures between 16°C during the day and 3°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 15th (Fri) early enough to drive to Gyeongju.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Popular historic sites such as Yangdong Folk Village and Bulguksa Temple are in your itinerary. Do some cultural sightseeing at Gyeongju National Museum and Oksan Seowon. Change things up with these side-trips from Gyeongju: Pohang (Pohang Steel Yard & Jukdo Market). There's still lots to do: contemplate the waterfront views at Anapji Pond, contemplate the long history of Cheomseongdae Observatory, pause for some photo ops at Daereungwon, and identify plant and animal life at Gyeongju Bird Park.

You can drive from Busan to Gyeongju in 1.5 hours. Other options are to do a combination of subway and bus; or take a train. Traveling from Busan in March, you will find days in Gyeongju are a bit cooler (5°C), and nights are about the same (5°C). Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Mon) to allow enough time to drive to Andong.

Sitting along either side of the Nakdong River, Andong maintains an unrivalled reputation as a center for Korean folk and cultural heritage.
Start off your visit on the 19th (Tue): wander the streets of Andong Gunja Village (Historic Site of Ocheon), then steep yourself in history at Dosanseowon Confucian School, then appreciate the extensive heritage of Andong Hahoe Folk Village, and finally steep yourself in history at Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy. On the 20th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: snap pictures at Wollyeongo Bridge, see the interesting displays at Hahoe Mask Museum, then take a stroll through Yeongju Museom Village, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Bongjeongsa.

You can drive from Gyeongju to Andong in 2 hours. Other options are to take a train; or take a bus. When traveling from Gyeongju in March, plan for somewhat warmer days in Andong, with highs around 17°C, while nights are about the same with lows around 2°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 20th (Wed) early enough to go by car to Gangneung.

A large coastal city, Gangneung has been historically separated from much of the country because of the long, stretching mountain range that runs parallel to the sea.
For shopping fun, head to Sokcho Jungang Market or Gangneung Jungang Market. Get outdoors at Gyeongpo Beach and Naksan Beach. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Gangneung: Chuam Beach (in Donghae), Naksansa Temple (in Yangyang-gun) and Jeongseon 5-day Market (in Jeongseon-gun).
