One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Spend the 5th (Sat) exploring nature at Bukhansan National Park. The adventure continues: steep yourself in history at Gyeongbokgung Palace, take a stroll through Insadong, shop like a local with Namdaemun Market, and make a trip to N Seoul Tower.

Valletta, Malta to Seoul is an approximately 18-hour combination of flight and train. You can also fly. The time zone difference moving from Central European Time (CET) to Korea Standard Time (KST) is 8 hours. When traveling from Valletta in October, plan for a bit cooler days and about the same nights in Seoul: temperatures range from 22°C by day to 21°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Sat) to allow enough time to travel to Kaesong.

Relatively relaxed and atmosphertic, the centuries-old city of Kaesong lies near the Demilitarized Zone and the border with South Korea, and has served as an industrial center since being traded to the North in the Korean War.
On the 6th (Sun), get engrossed in the history at Koryo Museum, make a trip to Ryongtongsa Temple, don't miss a visit to Concrete Wall, then don't miss a visit to Seohae Gapmun, then snap pictures at Sonjuk Bridge, and finally steep yourself in history at Tomb of King Kongmin.

Built from the ground up after the Korean War, Pyongyang impresses with its Soviet-era buildings and monuments to modern leadership.
Kick off your visit on the 9th (Wed): make a trip to Geumsusan Memorial Palace, make a trip to Mansudae Grand Monument, then make a trip to Kim Il-sung Square, then pause for some photo ops at Triumphal Arch, and finally explore and take pictures at Kim Il Sung Stadium.
