Sitting along either side of the Nakdong River, Andong maintains an unrivalled reputation as a center for Korean folk and cultural heritage.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Andong: Sosuseowon Confucian School (in Yeongju) and Juwangsan National Park (in Cheongsong-gun). And it doesn't end there: steep yourself in history at Andong Hahoe Folk Village, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Bongjeongsa, wander the streets of Andong Folk Village, and see the interesting displays at Hahoe Mask Museum.

To see traveler tips, other places to visit, more things to do, and tourist information, read Andong tour itinerary planner.

If you are flying in from Australia, the closest major airports are Daegu Airport, Cheongju International Airport/Cheongju Air Base (K-59/G-513) and Gimhae International Airport. March in Andong sees daily highs of 17°C and lows of 2°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 30th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
