Go for a jaunt from Busan to Geoje to see Oedo Botania about 1h 45 min away. The adventure continues: get outside with Haeundae Beach, take in the views from Gwangandaegyo Bridge, hunt for treasures at Jagalchi Market, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Haedong Yonggung Temple.

Tokyo, Japan to Busan is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of train and flight. Traveling from Tokyo in January, expect Busan to be little chillier, temps between 7°C and -3°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 3rd (Mon) early enough to go by car to Gyeongju.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Kick off your visit on the 4th (Tue): pause for some photo ops at Seokguram, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Bulguksa Temple, and then get curious at Silla Arts And Science Museum. On the next day, examine the collection at Ulsan Daegok Museum, examine the collection at Gyeongju National Museum, and then contemplate the waterfront views at Anapji Pond.
