Toronto, Canada to Jeju is an approximately 20.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of ferry and flight. The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time to Korea Standard Time, which is usually a 14 hour difference. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Fri) so you can travel to Gwangju.

Gwangju is the sixth largest city in South Korea. Explore Gwangju's surroundings by going to Gwanghallu Pavilion (in Namwon), Boseong Green Tea Field Daehan Dawon (in Boseong-gun) and Unjusa (in Hwasun-gun). And it doesn't end there: explore the striking landscape of Mudeungsan National Park, take in the spiritual surroundings of Mudeungsan Jeungsimsa Temple, head outdoors with Soswaewon, and stroll around Peace Park.

Getting from Jeju to Gwangju by flight takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of flight and bus; or do a combination of ferry and taxi. Expect a daytime high around 11°C in May, and nighttime lows around 11°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 13th (Thu) to allow enough time to drive to Daejeon.

A sprawling metropolis and center for research, Daejeon stands as the fifth largest city in South Korea.
Venture out of the city with trips to Boeun-gun (Songnisan National Park & Beopjusa Temple), Nonsan (Gwanchoksa Temple & Tapjeongho lake) and Buyeo National Museum (in Buyeo-gun). There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at Currency Museum, take in the views from Expo Bridge, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Tapsa Temple, and steep yourself in history at Cheongnamdae.

Getting from Gwangju to Daejeon by car takes about 2 hours. Other options: take a train; or take a bus. While traveling from Gwangju, expect much hotter days and about the same nights in Daejeon, ranging from highs of 29°C to lows of 12°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 19th (Wed) early enough to travel to Busan.

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Venture out of the city with trips to Oedo Botania (in Geoje), Sebyeonggwan Hall (in Tongyeong) and Haman-gun (Haman Lotus Theme Park & Ipgok County Park). There's much more to do: kick back and relax at Haeundae Beach, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Haedong Yonggung Temple, take some stellar pictures from Taejongdae, and don't miss a visit to Seokbulsa Temple.

Traveling by train from Daejeon to Busan takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Daejeon in May, plan for somewhat warmer nights in Busan, with lows around 16°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 26th (Wed) so you can drive to Gyeongju.

Expect a bit cooler weather when traveling from Busan in May: highs in Gyeongju hover around 18°C, while lows dip to 18°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 1st (Tue) so you can catcht the bus to Andong.
